Crafted for your home and made in our own, the John Boos 128-Ounce Boos Block Mystery Oil Maintenance Care was designed to elevate and extend the use of your favorite wood kitchen tools. Formulated with all-natural ingredients, the John Boos Mystery Oil is safe for food-preparation surfaces, penetrating deep into the grain of the wood to protect and revitalize the wood fibers, preventing the drying, splitting, and cracking of cutting boards, bowls, or kitchen utensils.
To use, apply an even coat of Boos Mystery Oil to all surfaces of your wood cutting board using an applicator. Allow the Mystery Oil to fully penetrate the wood fibers overnight, then wipe off any excess oil. Apply additional oil to any visibly dry spots. Use at least once per month (depending on the cutting board use and household conditions) and more often in dry or arid climates. Do not overoil your cutting board. For additional protection, use Boos Block Board Cream (sold separately) to seal the top of the wood surface.
